How does a Taser Guns Work?

A taser gun is a self-defense weapon that works by firing two electrodes towards attacker using compressed nitrogen. The electrodes are sharp and barbed and will pierce easily in clothing and skin, but can't easily be removed once implanted. The Taser gun will send an electric charge into the target with the help of fine conductive wires. The target then will become disabled due to the powerful electric charge that overloads nerves and disables voluntary muscle control. Taser guns will not cause permanent damage to nerves. Taser guns that form part of police training equipment have longer range and are equally effective like civilian taser guns.

Law enforcement and self defense

Our Law enforcement have to be on the top of their game at all times. In just a blink of the eye, things can turn very bad. It takes a very special kind of person who is willing to lay their lives on the line every day to keep law and order.

Non-Lethal Weapons Used By Police

Now days, our law enforcement personnel are highly trained in the use of Tasers, Stun Guns and Pepper Spray. These are all very effective non-lethal weapons and work extremely well when subduing a criminal. What most people don't realize is when a man is charging you or you are under attack, the chances of 1 shot stopping him dead in his tracks would be highly unlikely. In most training, an officer would be told to fire in three's. ( pop, pop, pop) This is why we hear so often of an officer shooting an attack as many as 6 or more shots. It's like shooting a bear, you can shoot it through the heart, but it will take about 15 seconds before it knows he's dead. This is why the police are using Tasers for non-lethal weapons because a taser has better take down power then a 9mm. When an attacker is hit with a Taser, he's down, and that's the long and short of it.

Nowadays it is very common for the common individual such as you and me to take a taser wherever they go, as a way of protecting themselves from crime. Along with pepper spray and stun guns, taser guns are among the most popular self-defense tools for both women and men, as well as adults and young people, due to the fact that it's very effective and doubles as a stun gun.

In any case, it is very important that one knows the basic mechanics of taser guns before they buy then, so that they can be sure about the devices' capabilities and the legalities involved. A taster gun is an electrical stunning device which utilizes and emits electric discharges as a way of interrupting an attacker's muscle movements. After firing a taser at your attacker, it produces a strong electrical current which then immobilizes him, rendering him incapacitated and immobile, and then unconscious for a few minutes. It has a few barbs which puncture the skin before they send electrical wattage and volts into the body of the attacker.

Even though it is capable of immobilizing someone, it doesn't cause electrocution, due to the fact that its output remains the same regardless of the target's condition and location. Additionally, the electrical output is not transferred to other individuals, even if they are touching your target. Once an individual is hit by a taser, the electrical charges are capable of causing dizziness and involuntary muscle contraction, resulting in temporary immobility as well as unconsciousness for various seconds to fifteen minutes.

In order to get the best choice, fire it seven to ten feet away from the attacker. There's no need to move closer than that, since you'll have a better chance of hitting him at this distance. Even though tasers are capable of emitting up to 25,000 volts of static electricity, such devices aren't dangerous and can't cause permanent damage to an individual's internal organs.

Tasers were initially issued for use by police authorities, as a way of increase their protection. However, with rising criminality cases, it became quite popular as a general public self-defense tool as well. However, before you purchase one, it's a good idea to know more about your local laws and legislation, since some cities prohibit the use of such self-defense tools. If your city allows for its possession, make sure you get the required permits and comply with necessary requirements.
